Sonax Headlights Restoration Kit

Set for manual regeneration of dull and yellowed plastic headlamp lenses. In two quick steps, it restores the original transparency of the headlamp lenses, removes minor scratches, and prevents them from becoming dull and fading again.

A quick and economical way to restore the attractive appearance of the headlights and increase safety by increasing the efficiency of the lights in the car. The kit is enough to regenerate two pairs of headlamps.

How to restore headlights?

Before regenerating headlights, wash them with SONAX shampoo and protect the surfaces around the headlights (bonnet, bumper, radiator grille, fenders).

Sanding: Attach flower-shaped sanding pads (P5000) to the grey holder, wet with water, and apply pressure lightly sand the reflector until the entire surface is even and dull. Wet the sanding surface once more and repeat the operation. After that, remove the residue with the provided cloth.

POLISHING: Apply Sonax Polishing compound to the white side of the polishing sponge and polish with moderate pressure until the dull surface is removed. If necessary, apply more polish. To check the polishing effect and when finished, wipe with the supplied cloth.

PROTECTION: Open the sachet containing a cloth soaked in a preservative and thoroughly wipe the sanded and polished reflectors. Wait 30 minutes for optimal protection (do not touch or wipe the headlamps). One cloth is enough to protect two headlights.

NOTE: in the case of rear lamp refurbishment, step 1 (sanding) may be omitted. In case of deep scratches, please do not remove them with coarser sandpaper. This may remove the original painted protective layer of the reflector and, consequently- very rapid dulling and increased susceptibility to scratching. In the case of severely faded, dull headlamps or with deep scratches, cracks, and chips, regeneration may not be effective.
